Fetty Wap Hops On A Remix Of Selena Gomez’s ‘Same Old Love’

Interscope Records is dead set on giving Selena Gomez not two, but three top five hits during her ‘Revival’ era (yes, we’re already accounting for the slayage that ‘Hands To Myself’ will bring). So with her her next single weeks away from taking over, Selena’s label has officially dropped a ‘Same Old Love’ remix ft. Fetty Wap as a last ditch effort to drive the song further on rhythmic radio and the charts.

We’ve heard better remixes, to be honest. This is clearly a ploy to squeeze the last bit of juice out of the song and it couldn’t be more obvious. At least give us two original Fetty verses instead of basically duplicating a rush opening verse into the bridge. We just don’t see rhythmic radio spinning this over the original without some sort of deal.

Who are we kidding by expecting more? This remix came way too late and it is what it is. We’re sure this will have a teeny, tiny effect on ‘Same Old Love’. Definitely not long term, but maybe enough to get it back to its peak position of #6.

What do you think of the ‘Same Old Love’ Remix ft. Fetty Wap?
