New Track: Ellie Goulding – ‘Just In Case’
New album, upcoming tour, and a headlining slot at Coachella? You think that Ellie Goulding would be too busy for any additional projects, right? Wrong.
Somehow, someway, Ellie Goulding has found the time to create some new music and guess what…she’s gone urban, y’all! By teaming up with Canadian producer Jordan Evans, Ellie managed to cut a cover of Jaheim’s ‘Just In Case’ – putting a fresh spin on an early 2000’s R&B Jam that many of her fans may not be aware of.
To be honest, we’re not sure who the hell Jaheim is. We dove into the depths of our memory to try to pinpoint where this song came from, but we cannot recall a time where we ever heard the original version. Hey, that’s totally fine because we’re too occupied with getting into Ellie’s version.
It may not be as bubbly or poppy as any of the material on ‘Delirium’, but it stays true to her signature alt-pop flare and sprinkles a bit more of that UK feel that Ellie is known for.
