Performance: Selena Gomez on Saturday Night Live
Not even Winter Storm Jonas could keep Selena Gomez away from making her debut on Saturday Night Live! Despite all the chaos that’s currently occurring in New York City, Selena rose to the occasion and performed THREE songs off of her latest album ‘Revival’ on the SNL stage.
As expected, Selena did a mash up of ‘Good For You’ and ‘Same Old Love’, but with a twist. There was a slight acapella component to the medley that really allowed Selena to put the focus on her voice before each song’s production came into play. In all honesty, it was a lot better than we could have ever dreamed for it to be. Selena’s our girl, but SNL‘s stage isn’t too kind to even the best singers. A smart and winning note for the pint-sized star to start out on.
And then, it was time for her final performance. And what better way to do that then to simulate a threesome onstage with a male and female dancer to her current single, ‘Hands To Myself’? Now, now – our girl didn’t exactly go there with the idea of a threesome, but it was implied throughout the entire performance. In true Selena fashion, it was very tongue-in-cheek and tastefully done. Good ol’ sensual fun! Vocally, the whispers were on point; but we’re happy to hear that she’s gained even more confidence with ‘Hands To Myself’ live.
Did Selena kill it on SNL or did she kill it?
