New Single/Video Premiere: The Chainsmokers ft. Daya – ‘Don’t Let Me Down’

The Chainsmokers and Daya are currently finding success on the charts with their own respective hits, ‘Roses’ and ‘Hide Away’. So, naturally, since they’re both breaking out at the moment it makes sense to collaborating on another potential hit to keep the momentum going, right?

That’s what these two acts did on ‘Don’t Let Me Down’  – an EDM laced alt-pop banger that shifts Daya into a more dance route and continues to build on the substantial alternative sound the Chainsmokers found with their latest hit.

To be honest, it works! Daya has the smouldering, smoky vocals to pull of this kind of sound in EDM and the Chainsmokers are finally finding something works with their sound. Who wants to be labeled as a viral artist anyway?

Drew Taggart from the Chainsmokers had to this say about ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ to Billboard:

I’m super proud of it. I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve written and produced. I think people are going to be pretty blown away by it and it’s very different than ‘Roses,’ which is nice.

Have The Chainsmokers and Daya broken the “one-hit wonder” curse with this one?
