POPTalk: Predictions For The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards
T-minus 48 hours until the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards! On Monday, February 15th, the music industry’s finest will be honored, recognized, and perform for thousands across the world in what can only be described as the biggest night in music.
Kendrick Lamar leads this year with 11 nominations and Taylor Swift and The Weeknd follow closely with seven each. While there were some surprises (literally all the Best New Artist nominees) and some snubs along the way (‘Lean On’, for one – hello?!), this year’s crop of nominees really read as a “who’s who” of the biggest hits of the past year. Translation? A popularity contest.
Be that as it may, there’s still some fun in watching the GRAMMYs and predicting the outcome of the night. So, that’s what we’ve done!
It’s clear as day that the entire night will be a battle of Kendrick vs. Taylor. Who will win Album of the Year? Who will be the one to take home Song of the Year? Will the both of them win together for ‘Bad Blood’? We get into all of that and much more in the first episode of POPTalk, a series devoted to talking about the biggest events in music.
Beyond commenting on the battle of Lamar and Swift, three of our experts cover all the major categories, the pop and rap categories, and predict whose performance will be the talk of the night.
Sit back, take in all our predictions, and tune into the GRAMMYs on Monday February 15th to see if we were right!
