Introducing: Pretty Sister

You may recognize the voice the voice behind Pretty Sister – it’s none other than Zak Waters, from Adventure Club’s ‘Fade’! After getting a taste of the industry from that smash and a cover of Ginuwine’s ‘Pony’, Zak is ready to step out on his own with his new project Pretty Sister.

Pretty Sister is very slick, very much rooted in soul, and – judging by the project’s new single ‘Drive’ – all about letting go and embracing all the good things life has to offer.

In a press release announcing ‘Drive’, Zak has this to say about his latest song.

I wrote this song from the perspective of someone who just moved [to LA]. I’ll never forget coming back here, smelling the smog and seeing the hazy sunsets over the 405. So when writing the song I thought about what must it be like to have just moved here from Michigan or New York or Detroit? Driving through Laurel Canyon with the palm trees and then sun and the warmth…the feeling of endless possibility and beautiful people all around you…it must be pretty exciting. I grew up in it and shit, it still excites me every day!

We have to admit it – we like what we hear so far. Eager to hear more from this project. Don’t keep us waiting too long now, Zak.
