New Track: Gwen Stefani – ‘Misery’

Gwen Stefani is giving us one last preview of the music that lies ahead of us on her third solo album, ‘This Is What The Truth Feels Like’, before its release on March 18th. Today, she released ‘Misery’ – a broken hearted anthem that is set to open up the record.

This feels more like classic Gwen than anything else we’ve heard from ‘This Is What The Truth Feels Like’. The prominent guitar licks give off that quirky flare and we almost veer into indie pop a few times along the way thanks to a collection of synths found in the chorus. Of course, this song captures the time in Gwen’s life where she felt like she lost it all. As for an album opener, it seems almost natural to start at her lowest point and build up from there.

There’s just one week left until Gwen’s third album drops – has ‘Misery’ reignited your excitement?

Loveee it. So excited for her new album. When she originally released Baby Don’t Lie and Spark the fire I thought she lost it but musically her divorce was the best thing to happen. This new music is amazing.

So impressed with her…I am in awe of her in all aspects of her life….. she is such a beautiful woman and deserves to be happy……God works in mysterious ways and looks after those who deserve it……Blake and her are genuine people who have not lost themselves in this industry! Wish them both lots of love and respect throughout their journey….people who lash out negativity are just envious of their relationship……LOVE YOU GWEN
