New Tracks: Carly Rae Jepsen – ‘First Time’ & ‘Fever’

A month ago, we all found out that Carly Rae Jepsen would be releasing a remix album for ‘E•MO•TION‘. Well, the album has finally dropped and – along with it – we have two never before heard tracks – ‘First Time’ & ‘Fever’.

Taking a page right out of Paula Abdul’s book, ‘First Time’ falls in line with some of the more bubbly songs that can be found in Carly Rae’s discography. Why it was left on the cutting room floor? We’ll never know – this is pure 80’s goodness!

As for ‘Fever’, it has almost the same feel as ‘All That’. A lush synth driven ballad about getting infected with the love-bug, but only to be friend-zoned. Again, another Carly classic that hones in on what makes her great and what has made ‘E•MO•TION’ one of the most underrated pop albums of the last year.

Which song are you feeling the most?
