Carly Rae Jepsen Has “Dreams” Of Releasing Leftover Material From E•MO•TION
Gays and pop music fans alike, we just shared with y’all that Carly Rae Jepsen has begun writing for her fourth album while on the road for the Gimme Love Tour. Little did we know that Carly may be working hard to get fans a bunch of leftover tracks from the ‘E•MO•TION’ recording sessions.
Two weeks ago, Carly released ‘E•MO•TION Remixed’ in Japan that featured two brand new songs that were recording during the ‘E•MO•TION’ era. While sitting down with WMSC during the NJ stop of her tour, Carly shared with a fan that over a dozen more leftovers could eventually be made available.
I would love to shed some light to some of the songs that I created in the process of making this last album cause there was so many. Not all of them – I remember when I finally got it narrowed down from the 200 to 40, I called my A&R guy and was like would it be really weird if I disappeared for three years and I came back with a 45 song deluxe? So, in my dream of dreams, I think having some of those songs released not too far from now would be awesome. It’s something that I’m thinking about and I’m still also writing about whatever comes next.
Carly did state that she will be going to Sweden to start recording her new record once her Japanese and Canadian legs wrap up, but that isn’t until later this spring. Could another remix album be on the way? Maybe a re-release? Whatever may be in the works, we’re sure that fans will be more than happy with the end result.
