Jennifer Lopez To Premiere New Single ‘Ain’t Your Mama’ On The American Idol Finale
There’s been a HUGE amount of speculation that Jennifer Lopez would be debuting new music during the final season of American Idol. With the finale only days away and talk at an all time high, Jennifer Lopez finally revealed that she will be performing during the finale and she will debut her new single ‘Ain’t Your Mama’.
And that ain’t it – during an exclusive Facebook Q&A during rehearsal for the finale, Jen stuck in a snippet of her highly anticipated new single. Listen to the snippet here.
Hm – the title is very Jennifer Lopez, but unconventional. There’s the unfortunate fact of ageism and radio working against her, but that tribal beat KNOCKS. Expect a full on production during that performance.
With only three days left, it’s anybody’s guess what the full song will sound like. All we can theorize from this is that she’s coming…and she’s coming hard.
‘Ain’t Your Mama’ will be available on iTunes April 7th after the American Idol finale.
Another clip of ‘Ain’t Your Mama’ is available! Listen here.

We’ve some big names behind ‘Ain’t Your Mama’. Meghan Trainor and her brother, Justin, have nabbed a co-writing credits on the track as well as some pretty big names that have a few hits on the charts right now. Jennifer’s new single is reportedly produced by Johan Carlsson (the man behind Demi Lovato’s ‘Confident’ and Ariana Grande’s ‘Dangerous Woman’) and another assist on the writing by Ross Golan (Selena Gomez’s ‘Same Old Love’ and Flo Rida’s ‘My House’).
Sounds like another hit is on the horizon for Jennifer….
Turns out this report was false! Dr. Luke and his team (including Lunchmoney Lewis) are behind ‘Ain’t Your Mama’.
