Drake Drops ‘Pop Style’ ft. The Throne & ‘One Dance’ ft. Wizkid & Kyla
It’s officially April – so you know what that means…VIEWS season is rapidly approaching. With Drake’s highly anticipated album ‘Views From The 6′ finally in – well – view, the Toronto MC has kicked things up a notch with the dual release of his new singles ‘Pop Style’ ft. The Throne and ‘One Dance’ ft. Wizkid & Kyla.
As expected, the two singles are completely different from each other. ‘Pop Style’, while it bills two big names, falls a bit flat. For one, Jay-Z is barely on the track – a blink and you missed it situation. Hookwise, it’s very minimal. To be frank, we’ve heard more aggression from Drake.
As for ‘One Dance’, the dancehall track takes the emotions from ‘Hotline Bling’ and the vibe from ‘Work’ to create the next step for pop-Drake. It’s a bit more evolved, but nothing too out of the ordinary for the emotional rapper.
We’re giving this round to ‘One Dance’ – but what about you? Which new Drake song are you feeling the most?
