New Tracks: Kelly Clarkson – ‘Break The Silence’, ‘One More Yesterday’, ‘We Own The Night’
Let’s call a spade a spade – Kelly Clarkson’s latest (semi)successful era was ‘Stronger’. The album managed to generate two top twenty hits and gave Clarkson her latest #1 single to date. Have you ever wondered at what songs were left off of ‘Stronger’ that could have been added to the album? If so, you’re in luck – a few demos from the album’s recording sessions surfaced online last night.
Kelly fans, you’ll want to add these to your collection. They’re all fine album tracks – there’s definitely not “could-have-been-hits” out of the bunch. Besides the Daughtry feature on ‘One More Yesterday’, the thing that’s really putting us through the singer is the demo of Selena Gomez’s ‘We Own The Night’. We had zero idea that Kelly was attached to this at some point. Imagine what could have been…
Ultimately, would these have rounded out ‘Stronger’? Hardly – but it’s nice to hear what didn’t end up on the final product.
