Christina Aguilera To Release New Music After The Voice
Pop legends and divas have all boarded the comeback train this year. Britney, J.Lo, Fergie, Gwen – you name the female artist, chances are they’ve released new music or are about to. One name has been missing though…Christina Aguilera.
She’s been working on her album since 2014 and promised that a “timeless body of work” would surface later this year back in February. As we approach the middle part of 2016, we still have nothing from Christina and her latest season on The Voice is about to wrap up! So what’s the deal?
When speaking with E! News during a live taping of The Voice, Christina teased that new music would be coming sooner rather than later:
Right after I leave my coaching duties, I will go back into my artistic self and really unleash what I’ve been dying to for so long. Everything will unravel in its own time, but I’m super excited to get back to what I’m really meant to do.
Okay so…she’s been saying this for quite some time now. Allow us to point out another piece of evidence that the return of Xtina is near. On the schedule for the May 16th episode Ellen, Christina will be one of the featured guests sharing “some exciting news about her upcoming album“.
Will it be a single announcement? There’s already loud roars about her performing a Whitney Houston tribute (with a Whitney hologram, no less…) on The Voice finale. Could there be another surprise performance in the works for her come finale night?
