New Single: Fergie – ‘MILF $’

She’s finally back! After the release of ‘L.A. Love (La La)’ over two years ago, Fergie went silent when it came to her highly anticipated sophomore album. After a lot of work in and out of the studio, Fergie is finally ready to reignite the ‘Double Dutchess’ era with her new single ‘MILF $’.

There is a lot going on in this song. First off, ‘MILF $’ is the hardest we’ve heard Fergie go in a while. On top of a trap-inspired beat, Fergie wraps about her luscious lumps. her work ethic, and her independence.

On one hand, it’s a bonafied banger. It’s hot and perfect for summer. On the other, we don’t see a lot of success for this single – mainly because it can be very polarizing. It’s not that radio friendly and really targets such a small audience that it could be tough for the general public to get behind.

It’s hard to say and we’ll have to wait for the single’s rollout to really gauge the public’s response to ‘MILF $’.

I kind of agree with the song being polarizing and not public/radio-ready, but let’s not forget that London Bridge and Fergalicious were both completely bizarre but reached the top of the charts. Don’t underestimate Fergie.
