Pink Writing For Celine Dion’s New English Album
When divas collide! As Celine Dion makes the rounds across Europe and Canada for her summer touring schedule, naturally the topic of a brand new album came up during a string of interviews.
At the end of 2015, Celine shared that she has begun work on a new French album after the 2013 release of ‘Loved Me Back To Life’. Just because Celine is the midst of another French classic doesn’t mean she can’t pull double duty and lend her attention to another English album.
During rehearsals for her concert in Paris this week, Celine met up with Entertainment Tonight to reveal that she is starting an English album and that she’s recruited one of the biggest female artists for this next era.
I’m already starting to work on an English album. Pink wrote me a song. She is phenomenal. I love her for her talent, for her strength, for her focus, the person she is. At the [Billboard Music Awards] when I saw her, I said, ‘For you to take the time to really write a song, to give me a tool, a piece of luggage to help me to move forward to walk to keep going…
Interesting! This wouldn’t be Pink’s first time writing for a legend. As most of you know, Pink co-wrote not one, but two songs for Cher’s last album ‘Closer To The Truth’. Given the song’s title – ‘Recovering’ – there’s no doubt that Pink has written an emotionally empowering anthem for Dion and her fans.
